About me

A bit about me

Hello! I am Domonique Askew and I am from Portsmouth, Virginia. I am currently a first generation undergraduate student at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. My major is Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. I previously was enrolled in Old Dominion University’s Business Administration program which then led me to study Strategic Communications and Public Relations. While I was enrolled in Business Administration I learned about business marketing and management. Which has helped me to understand the importance of communication within Business Management and Marketing.

Now that my journey has led me to Communications I plan on graduating in the Spring of 2024. After graduation I plan on working for a P.R. Firm, media company, or in the communications department of a major company. The companies that I hope to work for one day within their communications or public relations departments are Nike, Amazon, Parkwood Entertainment, Westbrook Entertainment, and Google.

Throughout my time at Old Dominion University I will be posting a few articles of my coursework from previous and current classes.
